Cognitive Behaviour Therapy(CBT) is based on the understanding that the way we think (cognitive) effects the way we feel(behaviour
).

CBT can be used when working with problems such as Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders and Low Self-Esteem.
CBT can help you look at what you think of yourself, the world and others.  It can help you identify and challenge your negative thinking patterns and replace them with more realistic ways of thinking.
Unlike some other forms of psychological therapies, CBT is structured and focuses on the 'here and now'.  Sessions are reviewed regularly to map the clients progress.

When our mood is low or we have low self esteem we tend to have far more negative than positive thoughts, by challenging this way of thinking, our mood can improve and it can boost our self esteem and confidence.

CBT is recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence and the Health & Safety Executive.
