It is widely recognised that stress is a major contributor to sickness and absence in the workplace Recent research has shown  that 12.8 million working days are lost to mental illness every year and aproximately 3 in 10 employees will have a mental health problem of some sort in any one year

The costs to an organisation can be high, therefore the  business benefits in tackling these problems have a positive effect on  organisational expenses, attendance, productivity and staff morale.

s part of their Management Standards, the Health & Safety Executive(HSE) recommend that businesses ensure that therapeutic interventions are available.  They go on to state that "using Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy approaches to work-related stress are more effective that some other treatments".  This is one of the theories  we work with in our counselling service.

It is recommended that the employee has approximately 6 - 8 sessions.

Sessions can be arranged outside working hours if preferred. Sessions are held at our clinic in Western Ave., Port Talbot
